Carl Zeiss Compact Zoom cine lenses are suitable for 4K production and offer full frame (36x24mm) coverage. Compact and Lightweight in design, they are ideal for handheld and Steadicam projects, and for when space is limited. There is also no focus shift when you change focal length so quick changes to zoom settings are far more reliable. Depth of field effects are also pleasing to the eye thanks to the rounded aperture design.
The 15-30mm lens fills the wide-angle gap and complements the already available CZ.2 28-80/T2.9 and CZ.2 70-200/T2.9 lenses. It does not only offer extreme angles of view but also fulfils all the requirements for motion picture zooms: It stands out for its optical brilliance, as well as its distortion-free images.
The Compact Zoom lens system has not been designed in isolation and has an interchangeable mount and the lens range has been colour-matched to the entire Zeiss prime lens range for the consistency you would expect.
Focus rings are geared, ready to accept follow focus systems and they are supplied with a calibrated focus scale (please see product designation for scale type).
Please Note: Image for illustration purposes only, scale type and lens fitting may differ from that shown.
