The PIX-CADDY CF provides a solid, removable connection for a CompactFlash (CF) card (not included) to attach to the PIX 260i for recording poly WAV files. Once secured to the caddy, CF cards are quickly inserted and removed from the recorder.
Connect the PIX-CADDY CF to the PIX 260i by sliding the caddy into the drive opening. Remove the caddy by pushing both of the gray release latches, then pull the assembly away from the PIX 260i.
To insert a CF card:
1. Make sure the CF ejector button is flush with the face of the PIX-CADDY CF. if it is protuding from the PIX-CADDY CF, press it in.
2. With the top (manufacturer’s label) of the CF card facing DOWN (away from the Sound Devices logo on the PIX-CADDY CF) carefully insert the CF card into the CF slot of the PIX-CADDY CF. A properly inserted CF card will be flush with the face of the PIX-CADDY CF.
To remove a CF card:
1. Push the CF ejector button so that it protrudes from the face of the PIX-CADDY CF.
2. Push the CF ejector button a second time to eject the CF card.
CF cards can be inserted and removed from the PIX-CADDY CF while it is inserted in a PIX 260i or while it is disconnected from a PIX 260i. The PIX-CADDY CF can be inserted and removed from the PIX 260i with or without a CF card already inserted. Do not remove a CF card from the PIX-CADDY CF while it is mounted to a PIX 260i and the CF card is in use (recording, busy, or playing).
