Cannot complain for the price, very robust and lightweight - decent height and very low if needed. Using with a rigged Sony A7s and it is solid.

Light yet quite sturdy and easy to use, this tripod is very well made for the price. It provides a stable camera platform from just a few inches off the ground right up to eye level (I'm 6 foot)

The Safari is a decent video tripod if you are on a budget. I wanted the Mller Air with carbon legs but I simply can't afford it at the moment. And I need a tripod now. The fluid head, I think, is a generic budget fluid head. Having said that, it's still a good head. From the little time I have used it, I think it cannot pan and tilt smoothly if the load is over 3kg. So I think people have to be aware of that. Also what you pay for is mostly for the carbon legs since the tripod head could be have for a modest sum. The tripod is mostly well made but it does have some plastic parts which make it feel slightly cheap in feel comparatively. If you camera set up is less then 3kg then the head works really well. I'm using the a7s with a cage and mounted the Rode SVMP on the hot-shoe. I really like it being so light. The head and legs combine is only 3.2kg. It's great for one man band/run and gun set up.I have owned similar priced Manfrotto, Benro, Davis and Sanford(Tiffen) tripods before, and I think the Safari is better value then the others. If you could work with the caveats it is excellent for the money. I'm happy with it so far.

Ordered about 3 years ago from CVP. It's ideal for DSLR. The only downside is when there is realy cold about -20* celsius, then the fluid head freezees and the movement is slowed down.

Incredibly fast and economic shipping.rnIt's a low cost video tripod for prosumers for non-action recordings such as conferences and interviews. Very light, good looking, very easy to carry and it comes with a very comfortable case.

I have used a lot of tripods in my time mostly borrowed, and i thought it was finally time to buy my own. I did not want to go with any of the Manfrotto series as my experiences with most of the range were not positive. I needed light legs with a fluid head I really wanted a satchler, miller, vinten or libec. After research endless tripods and weighing up cost I found this tripod a sub section of miller. I could not find any great reviews or information on the tripod that could convince me to buy it, i thought it could not be good at such a low price. But I took a risk and it paid off its a great tripod and with my canon 60d and 150-500mm lens i thought such a tripod would struggle but it doesn't the action is smooth and with a high friction you can let go and your lens will stay still acting i guess as a cheap counter balance. The legs and light and a lot of the tripod is metal and feels well made.Downsides I have experienced so far are the legs locks seem cheap and I hope they last their is not pan friction dial which would be useful. Some times on uneven ground the 55mm ball head is not big enough and adjustments to the legs need to be made which is not hassle as the legs go so low and high, I have also notice like some over reviews when the tripod is first used the ball for panning is not quiet tight enough when tilting up and down their is some un wanted movement this is the same for the pan bar but these can easily be solved with some tightening.Overall for the price and compared to its rivals I think this tripod excels. It is light and the head is so fluid and for the price carbon fibre legs that can go so low and high is amazing for capturing the right angle. Apart from a few niggles that i can easily live with for the price this tripod if it keeps performing like it does i would recommend to any one as a first or second tripod. Hopefully one day I will be able to afford a higher end tripod but for now to avoid my experiences with Manfrotto this tripod does wonders.I hope i have been at useful thank you.

Really useful small Tripod. The fluid head is much better than you might expect, and is really very useable for video. It's small enough so it fits inside my suitcase for travelling - and seems quite robust. I love my Sachtler 20, but for something like an AF100 or C300 this is soooo much lighter and easy to carry round. I've taken one star off because the plastic head of the pan bar lock broke off one day. Otherwise - no complaints.
