Price Pledge ensures we won't be beaten on price! We actively monitor the prices offered by our competitors daily and adjust our own pricing accordingly.
The prices shown are an estimate based on the purchase of a single item with nothing else in your basket. The prices and options do not include shipping regulations and duties which will be checked in the checkout process.
At CVP we always strive to get your order to you as quickly as possible, but in the interest of clarity please note that next day is defined as the next working day (ie: excluding weekends, UK bank holidays and public holidays).

Where an item is not physically in stock, the actual delivery time will be extended by the lead time for the product in question. Shipping to the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and some remote UK postcodes are not next day but 2 working days.
All transactions are subject to CVP security checks which are for our mutual protection against identity theft and fraud. In the event that additional checks are required you will be informed and dispatch time will be extended by the time taken to resolve any queries raised. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
*Due to unforseen circumstances, on some occasions same day dispatch may not be possible. In this event we will always do our utmost to keep you fully informed of any delay imposed.
The HJ40x10B is super telephoto lens that captures superb long distance and panoramic shots and is especially suited for sports, documentaries and challenging location productions.
Super telephoto EFP lens
The HJ40x10B and its companion the HJ40x14B represent the pinnacle of Canon portable high definition EFP lens design. Image capture over long distances with extender can achieve 800mm and its focal length of 10mm~400 provides a wide angle that makes it very suitable for sports applications such as golf. The HJ40x10B represents the very best in optical and mechanical design and its unique optical image stabilisation systems make possible the capture of rock steady high definition imagery under the most adverse of field conditions. Aerial shooting, sports and entertainment coverage, portable acquisition in arduous terrain and under dynamic environmental situations (heavy winds) – are all superbly supported by this stalwart HD lens.
The design optimisation strategies included a dual lens approach to broaden the shooting options, achievement of an adequate sensitivity, maximisation of image contrast, and preservation of the highest MTF over the long focal ranges.
Power Optics - combination of specialised materials, contemporary optical design, and multilayer coatings that produce the superb imagery
Internal Focus - a Canon design innovation that uses a floating optical system to better control chromatic aberrations.
New third-generation enhanced digital servo systems using Canon-developed 16-bit optical rotary encoder devices introduce new creativity to handheld acquisition systems. Enhanced Digital Drive technology - encompasses a microcomputer driven servo control that embodies position memory and user-defined digital functionality to significantly empower the camera operator. A 16-bit rotary encoder for aperture control reports to the associated camera Iris control system (10-bit compatibility).
Magnesium alloy body for light weight and exceptional durability.
All contemporary Canon lenses avoid the use of materials and substances potentially harmful to the environment. Lead has been removed from all optics and other identified substances from all components comprising the composite lens system.
