CVP Massively let me down with this order. I'm currently filming a documentary in South Africa in bright sunshine with no EVF thanks to CVP. I ordered these products in March over 1 month before I was leaving for this shoot and was assured that it would be delivered in mid April, then late April, then early May. I was only told these delivery times when I phoned up and chased the order after it wasn't delivered. I feel completely let down by CVP. They screwed me - They kept re-assuring me over and over again when I chased the order that it would be delivered before I left for the shoot, primarily I believe to keep my order with them, dragging it out. I'm now struggling to focus, or see my c300 monitor screen. I believe these products have been delivered to my office in London but I'm filming here on location in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape town until June 8th, so that's no use to me at all. If they'd told me at the start that allowing them over 6 weeks to deliver me this product wouldn't be long enough I would have bought a TV logic EVF or something similar that would have helped me during this project, but over and over again I was reassured until 2 days before I was leaving, when I was told it wouldn't be delivered - leaving me no other option. I will try very hard never to use CVP again, but it's unlikely as I live locally so it's convenient. I will not trust them again after this, I will not recommend them to anyone I know, in fact I'll probably tell them about this incident and I am hugely hugely disappointed with the lies, the time wasted and the sheer inconvenience they've caused me. I'm under pressure on this shoot, and that pressure is mainly due to CVPs screw up. I'm disgusted. Having spent over 20k with CVP over the past few years, buying my c300 and other gear, I'd expect a little more respect and professional courtesy. Seeing as I'm bothering to input this feedback, I'd been interested to know CVPs response to the above and how they plan to avoid this sort of thing happening in future. Do they treat everyone in this way? I'm a professional and I expect CVP to be professional too. From speaking to colleagues and other camera ops and directors, some too have experienced issues with CVP. So we're all interested to see what CVP has to say for this situation. The gear I ordered (I presume) has by now been delivered to my office in London - I however won't be able to use in until Mid June, but which time the project I needed if for will be finished. I'm absolutely gutted after waiting SUCH a long time, trusting what CVP had told me would be true and being SO patient. Giving CVP the benefit of the doubt every time I was strung along. I will definitely think twice before ordering anything and if I can get my equipment elsewhere, I may well do. Big disappointment.
